Roll the Dice
It has become a guessing game, a roll of the dice as contractors and developers push forward with new properties and the price of materials continues to rise. In the first four months of the year, that bottom line has been hit with a 16-per-cent increase, and the experts were predicting an increase of 20 per cent for the year.
It is difficult when these developments need a price so they can go into the white hot market for sales. It is restless nights, believe me. Take copper for instance. The price is rising so the plumbing contractor has difficulty in making the quotes that are necessary for the developers to market their new product.
Accurate quotes are almost non existant and with the wrong numbers plumbing contractors are on the edge all the time. It is like Las Vegas.
