Hi there, glad to meet you. I'm Jim and one of the newest member's of the Okanagan Trend West Team. I'd like to tell you a little bit about myself and I hope you do the same when we get a chance to meet in person.
As one of the Baby Boomer's from the late 50's, I spent the 1st 10 yrs of life growing up in the Black Diamond, Turner Valley, Bragg Creek area's just outside of Calgary. My father's work in the bush and later on the railroad, prompted a move to the Crowsnest Pass in south AB. where I finished grade 12, entered the work force myself, got married in 1979 and began raising our family there and before I knew it 30 years had gone by.
In the spring of 1998, my wife Susan and our 2 teenage kids, excitedly decided to move to Vernon, since we had previously spent many happy summer vacations here with freinds of ours who had done the same. We built a new home just above Kalamalka lake in 1999, the kids finished off there schooling at VSS and have since moved on. However our love as a family for the Okanagan area has certainly become home for all of us including my widowed mother who presently resides in the Noric House.
Since my teens I have been in and around mining, road, and residential construction and have always had a sincere interest in people, real estate ,cars, and other investments.
I enjoy most sports, music and playing guitar around an open campfire. My wife and I have also had the opportunity to travel and assist those in poorer countries as volunteer's in different relief efforts and building projects.
Along with the tremendous support group that Okanagan Trend West already has, I hope you will find my contribution and experience in life helpful in planning your new home. I know I speak for our whole team when I say that we want building your new home with us, one of the most rewarding and enjoyable endeavors in your lifetime.
